Converse Chuck 70
Sizing & fit guide
Two ways to fit it
For low-tops and a clean fit, size down ½–1 (Chucks run big). For high-tops, a ½ down or true to size works since the ankle collar holds the foot back.

Why the Converse Chuck 70 fits this way
The Converse Chuck 70 is well known for running big, and the harvest is consistent and strong: "Go a half size/full size down" and "if you have regular width feet, definitely consider half size down at least." Cross-model anchoring is clean — one wearer is "11.5 in Jordan 1s and a 10.5 in Chuck 70s" (a full size down from their Jordan), another "10.5 in 1s and 9.5 in chuck 70s." The flat vulcanized last runs long, so true size leaves significant length.
There's a useful high-vs-low nuance: "imo, high tops go TTS, for low tops go .5 to 1 size down depending on how your feet are." The high-top's ankle collar holds the foot back and takes up some of the slack, so the size-down is less aggressive on highs; lows are where the full ½–1 down really applies.
Width is generous — the Chuck last is roomy, which is partly why sizing down works without pinching. Net: size down a half from your normal sneaker size as the default (a full size down if you find them especially long, or for low-tops); high-tops can stay closer to a ½ down or TTS. Converse's own sizing also runs a half below your other sneakers, so when in doubt, go smaller.
Common scenarios
I wear US 10.5 in Air Jordan 1. What size Chuck 70?
US 9.5–10 — Chucks run big, so size down a half to a full size from your Jordan size. The cleaner look is the smaller end.
High-top or low-top — does the size-down change?
Yes — high-tops hold the foot back at the ankle, so a ½ down (or even TTS) works; low-tops take the fuller ½–1 down.
I have wide feet. Will sizing down pinch?
The Chuck last is roomy and wide, so sizing down a half is comfortable for most wide feet — that's part of why the size-down works.
