Puma Speedcat OG
Sizing & fit guide
Two ways to fit it
For the snug, intended racing fit narrow feet can stay true to size. For most wearers — and especially wide feet — size up ½ to a full size, since the Speedcat runs small and narrow.

Why the Puma Speedcat OG fits this way
The Puma Speedcat OG was designed as a motorsport/racing shoe, and that heritage defines its fit: a slim, low-profile last that runs small and narrow. The widely-repeated advice across the Speedcat's resurgence is to size up — a half for most, a full size for wider feet — because true size is tight through the forefoot and short in length. The thin, close-fitting suede upper hugs the foot with little room to spare.
This makes the Speedcat the opposite of the true-to-size Puma Suede: where the Suede is a relaxed everyday last, the Speedcat is a narrow performance last. Wearers coming from roomier sneakers are frequently surprised by how snug true size feels, and the consensus correction is to go up.
Width is the main constraint. The slim racing profile doesn't accommodate wide feet at true size, and the suede gives only a little with wear, so wide-foot wearers should size up a half to a full size for a wearable fit. Narrow feet can sometimes manage true size but most still prefer the half up for length. Net: size up a half from your normal size (a full size for wide feet); the Speedcat runs small and narrow by design.
Common scenarios
I wear US 10 in my normal sneakers. What size Speedcat OG?
US 10.5 — the Speedcat runs small and narrow, so size up a half. Wide feet may need a full size up (US 11).
Why does it feel so tight at true size?
The Speedcat uses a slim motorsport/racing last that's narrow and short by design. Sizing up a half gives the length and forefoot room it lacks at true size.
I have wide feet. How much should I size up?
A full size up is common for wide feet — the slim racing profile doesn't accommodate width at true size, and the suede gives little.
How it compares to other models
- Puma Suede Classic Medium confidence
The Speedcat runs small/narrow (½ up) where the Suede Classic is true to size — very different lasts
- Adidas Samba OG Low confidence
Both slim low-profile shoes, but opposite sizing — the Speedcat runs small (½ up) while the Samba runs long (½ down)
- r/Sneakers — Puma Speedcat OG sizing (runs small/narrow, size up)
- r/Sneakers — Puma sizing by series (Speedcat differs)
