Nike Air Force 1 High
Sizing & fit guide

Our verdict
Go ½ size down
The Nike Air Force 1 High runs about ½ size large in length — same last as the AF1 Low — so most wearers size down ½. But the high-top collar and strap make the ankle and pinky area snug, so wide-foot wearers should stay true to size; some even go up. The page shows both options.
Low confidence

Two ways to fit it

For the cleanest length on standard/medium feet go ½ size down (the AF1 runs long). For wide feet, high insteps, or if the forefoot pinches, stay true to size — and a ½ up is defensible if TTS crushes your pinky.

Why the Nike Air Force 1 High fits this way

The Air Force 1 High sits on the same AF1 last and runs large in length, like the Low and Mid. One clear cross-model anchor: "Air Force 1 fits big. I'm an 11 in most shoes and 10.5 in AF1." So for length, the ½-down rule carries over.

The High is the most fit-divisive of the AF1 family because the tall collar and ankle strap change the experience. Some wearers report the opposite of large — "I got my AF1 Highs in my TTS and they were immediately crushing my pinky. I had to sell them and buy half size up" and "I go up half a size." These are wearers whose feet are caught by the snug forefoot/ankle wrap. So the High has a genuine split: it runs long (favoring ½ down) but the collar/strap and a moderately narrow forefoot can pinch, pushing wide or high-instep wearers toward TTS or even ½ up.

Net: for standard/medium feet, ½ down gives the cleanest length, consistent with the rest of the AF1 line. For wide feet, high insteps, or anyone who finds the AF1 forefoot snug, stay true to size (and a half up is defensible if the pinky pinches). Confidence is low because the High's signal is the most mixed in the family — try before buying if you can.

Common scenarios

I wear US 11 in most shoes. What size AF1 High?

US 10.5 — the AF1 High runs about ½ large in length, so size down ½. If you have wide feet or a high instep, stay at US 11 to avoid pinky pinch.

My TTS AF1 Highs crush my pinky. What went wrong?

The High's forefoot and collar can be snug. If TTS pinches, the fix is to go up — wide-foot wearers often need TTS or even ½ up rather than the ½ down that suits the length.

Does the AF1 High fit like the AF1 Low?

Same last and same ½-large length, but the High's tall collar and strap make the ankle/forefoot snugger, so wide feet feel it more than in the Low.

How it compares to other models

  • Nike Air Force 1 Low Medium confidence

Same last; both run ½ large in length, but the High's collar/strap make it snugger at the ankle and forefoot

  • Nike Air Force 1 Mid Medium confidence

Same AF1 last and ½-down length rule; the High has the tallest collar of the three

  • Air Jordan 1 High Low confidence

AF1 High runs ½ large where the AJ1 High runs TTS
