Nike Air Force 1 Low
Sizing & fit guide
Two ways to fit it
For a more snug, performance-clean fit go ½ size down (½-down is what most medium-width wearers report). For length safety, wide feet, or a more relaxed all-day fit stay true to size.

Why the Nike Air Force 1 Low fits this way
The AF1 Low sizing thread on r/Sneakers is one of the most-cited Nike sizing posts; the dominant pattern is "½ down from TTS". Multiple commenters report wearing a 10.5 in other Nike models and a 10 in AF1 — including one who states bluntly "I am a 10.5, and all my forces are size 10". On the r/SNKRS thread the top reply summarizes it cleanly: "Technically yea, you go 0.5 down. But that sorts out the issues with the length and the toe box, but also gets too crammy in the middle."
That "crammy in the middle" caveat is the only consistent counter-signal. The AF1's leather upper and thick padded tongue create a snug midfoot, so people with wide feet or high insteps often stay TTS rather than fight the width. The leather does relax meaningfully after 5–10 wears, which is why several long-time AF1 wearers maintain the ½-down rule.
The independent review pass confirmed this is a genuinely bimodal population: 3 of 5 reviewers explicitly chose TTS — including a wide-foot wearer who specifically called out width as the reason. Both ½-down and TTS are correct for different feet; the splitFit block names both. The shoe-specific Reddit review thread r/Shoe_Talk 1aszw4a summarizes it well: "runs true to size but fits slightly narrow" — the snug interior is the entire reason ½-down works at all for medium widths.
Common scenarios
I wear US 10.5 in Nike Pegasus. What size AF1 Low?
Most wearers go US 10 (½ down). The AF1 will feel snug across the midfoot for the first 5–10 wears, then break in. If you have wide feet or want length safety, US 10.5 is the better call.
I have wide feet. Should I still size down?
Probably not. Stay TTS so the midfoot has room. The length will run slightly long but is preferable to a tight wide foot. The review pass found wide-foot wearers consistently choose TTS over ½-down.
How does the AF1 Low fit compared to the AJ1 High?
AF1 runs ½ large where the AJ1 runs TTS. If you wear US 10 in AJ1, US 10 in AF1 will feel roomier in length and tighter across the toe knuckles; US 9.5 will be the clean fit.
Is AF1 Mid or High the same fit as AF1 Low?
Yes — same last and same ½-down/TTS recommendation. The Mid and High have more ankle volume but identical foot fit.
How it compares to other models
- Air Jordan 1 High Medium confidence
AF1 runs ½ large where AJ1 runs TTS — size down ½ in AF1 to match your AJ1 size
- Nike Dunk Low Medium confidence
AF1 runs ½ large where Dunk Low runs TTS — same ½-down rule applies
- Nike SB Dunk Low Low confidence
AF1 runs smaller in length than SB Dunk Low (one wearer reports US 10 SB Dunk ≈ 29.5 cm vs ~28 cm Nike-claimed for size 10) — so AF1 is two half-steps shorter than SB Dunk for the same labeled size
- Nike Air Force 1 Mid High confidence
Same last as the Low — ½-down/TTS split applies in both
- Nike Air Force 1 High High confidence
Same last as the Low — ½-down/TTS split applies in both
