Nike SB Dunk High
Sizing & fit guide
Two ways to fit it
For a snug, board-feel skate fit (or a suede toe box) stay true to size. For casual all-day comfort — especially leather and heavily-padded pairs — size up ½, since the skate padding and narrower last run small.

Why the Nike SB Dunk High fits this way
Like the SB Dunk Low, the Nike SB Dunk High carries a padded tongue, Zoom-cushioned insole, and reinforced skate padding that reduce interior volume relative to a regular Dunk. The dominant recommendation is to size up a half: ".5 size up for sure" and "go up a half size, the only pair I could fit TTS was the 90s backpack dunks... only because they have the zipper and I was able to remove the padding." A wide-foot wearer adds the structural reason: "go a half size up. Nike Dunks are built on a narrower shoe last than AJ1s."
There is a real TTS minority — "they fit pretty true to size similar to a Jordan 1 but with more padding. I went with my normal Nike size of 9.5 and have been fine" — typically skaters or wearers who want the locked-in fit and accept the snugness. One wearer's experience captures the split: "I have a pair of SB Dunks Baroque Brown Highs and found it a tad bit snug when I went with my TTS (AJ1 size 10)."
Material and release vary the fit, same as the SB Low: suede toe boxes give and can run closer to TTS, while leather and heavily-padded pairs run smaller. Cross-model, wearers note SBs run a half up from their AJ1: "I wear a size 11 for Jordan 1's, but HAVE to wear 11.5 for 3s, 4s, and dunks." Net: ½ up for casual comfort; TTS for a snug skate fit or suede toe boxes.
Common scenarios
I wear US 10 in Air Jordan 1. What size SB Dunk High?
US 10.5 for casual comfort — the SB's padding and narrower last run about ½ small. If you skate or want a snug fit, US 10 (TTS) works.
Is the SB Dunk High narrower than the AJ1?
Yes — SB Dunks are built on a narrower last than the AJ1, which is part of why wearers size up ½, especially wide-foot buyers.
How does the SB Dunk High compare to the regular Dunk High?
The regular Dunk High fits TTS; the SB runs ½ small due to skate padding. If you're TTS in regular Dunks, go ½ up for SBs (casual) or stay TTS (skating).
